Interior Lightlapse
For this project, titled "Interior Lightlapse," I aimed to create a cozy and intimate timelapse of a bedroom. This special place feels personal and comforting to each individual. The focus was on showcasing the transition from night to day and observing how the lighting affects the overall mood of the room.
I did not model or create textures from scratch. Instead, I sourced models and textures from CG Trader, a platform known for high-quality assets. My primary goal was to experiment with the lighting and create a sense of belonging for anyone watching the timelapse.
By tweaking the light and shadow in different ways, I aimed to capture how the room's vibe changes throughout the day. The project was all about exploring the power of lighting to make viewers feel cozy and connected to the space. This emphasis on lighting was the primary focus, rather than modeling or shading.
The most important aspect for me in "Interior Lightlapse" was its timelapse transition and the overall feeling of the scene. I tried to adjust the lighting to depict a smooth transition from day to night and also give this cozy, warm impression of the environment.
Working on this project allowed me to explore the nuances of lighting and its impact on mood and atmosphere. It highlighted for me the importance of light as a storytelling tool in visual art. Through "Interior Lightlapse," I was able to improve my technical skills and gain a deeper appreciation for the subtle yet powerful ways light shapes our perception of space and time. This project was a valuable experience in understanding how lighting can transform a simple scene into an emotionally engaging narrative.
